Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has fired a warning to his brother as he prepares to face him at Anfield.
The Reds take on Kevin Mac Allister and Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League group stage on Thursday night, with the Argentine brothers playing on opposite sides.
As the build-up to the game continues, Liverpool’s official Twitter page released a video of a video call between the Mac Allister siblings.
It’s great content, as the pair trade a couple of friendly insults, before Alexis tells his older brother what to expect from Anfield itself.
“Hopefully you don’t enjoy it, I want you to suffer,” the Liverpool man says. “I can tell you because I’ve been in Anfield as a Liverpool player and as an away player as well. I can tell you that as an away player you will feel the stadium and the crowd.”
“And maybe you can feel my tackle!” replied Kevin, with a smile.
Building up nicely to what should be a wholesome meeting tomorrow, and hopefully a Liverpool win.
Fighting talk from Alexis
Alexis is right, it isn’t going to be easy for Kevin and the rest of the Union SG players at Anfield.
Things would perhaps be difficult enough for the Belgians, but there’s a chance Liverpool absolutely come out of the blocks flying tomorrow.
After all the goings on and the fall-out from Saturday’s loss at Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool will be raring to go.

It may be a very different set of players to the one that lined up against Spurs, but all at the club will have felt the effects of the game.
As a result, Union will have to steady themselves for a potential onslaught right from the start. We’ve seen Liverpool put numerous teams to the sword at Anfield in Europe. This could be another.
But by the same token, the Reds will have to be careful. Having lost their first game of the season at the weekend, they won’t want to follow that up with a shock result here.
As a defender, Kevin Mac Allister could be key to giving Liverpool are difficult day at the office in terms of scoring. Not to be mean, but let’s hope Alexis is right, if he and his teammates suffer, the Reds will come away with the points.
