Liverpool are considering rekindling their interest in Wolves forward Pedro Neto.
The Reds have been linked with a move for Neto on-and-off for the past two years or so. But with serious injury derailing him at Molineux, nothing has ever looked especially advanced.
According to Football Transfers though, that could all change this summer. They claim that Neto’s excellent start to the Premier League season has seen him ‘added to their wish-list’ should Mohamed Salah leave for Saudi Arabia.

Having reportedly been on Liverpool’s radar ‘for some time,’ the Reds are said to have the 23-year-old ‘under consideration’ as a replacement for Salah.
However, it seemingly won’t be completely straightforward to get Neto out of Wolves. Liverpool are claimed to be ‘unhappy’ with how their Premier League rivals value the Portugal international.
There’s reportedly a feeling from Anfield that – owing to the potential Salah sale – players of interest to them are seeing £20m added to their asking-prices. The suggestion is that Neto’s valuation is included in this.
The Wolves wide man isn’t the only one on Liverpool’s shortlist, though. It’s claimed that Federico Chiesa is also being considered, along with another unnamed player.
Liverpool consider Neto move
If Liverpool do find themselves having to replace Salah next season, then you’d think Neto would have to be in the conversation.
Even if the Reds do manage to keep hold of the Egyptian once again, he’s someone who could well succeed Mo in the future.
At 23, Neto is now starting to show the kind of form that he’s always threatened to. In seven Premier League games this season, the Portuguese has one goal and four assists. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is one of those to have been impressed, labelling the forward as a ‘really, really good player’ just last week [Reuters].

Neto repaid Pep’s compliment, creating Ruben Dias’ first-half own goal on Saturday with a stunning piece of wing-play.
As a left-footed wide man, Premier League proven, and still yet to reach his peak, Neto is a rarity. In summer 2022, Wolves were claimed to have put a £50m price-tag on their No.7 [Metro], but that kind of money shouldn’t put Liverpool off.
If he continues with his excellent form, then that valuation could yet go up again. As mentioned, the Reds may also have to pay a premium if they bank big bucks for Salah.
But either way, Neto looks like a potentially outstanding candidate right now. Putting Mo to one side, a front-three of Neto, Nunez and Diaz looks like one that could lead Liverpool into a bright new era.
