Liverpool will reportedly remain interested in Jarrod Bowen even if the West Ham winger signs a new contract with the Irons.

According to journalist Dean Jones, the Reds will keep tabs on the forward despite strong rumours that Bowen could sign a new contract with West Ham.

Jones said: “I think that Liverpool will continue monitoring Bowen, as they’ve admired him for quite a while and knowing that the Salah exit probably isn’t too far away, now they should still be looking at it.”

With a reported asking price of £75m, Bowen has been tipped as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is expected to leave Liverpool in 2024 amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

And this update is a strong indicator that Liverpool have a strong interest in Bowen, who could be an ideal successor for Salah if the winger is to leave Merseyside next year.

Indeed, Liverpool’s confidence in potentially signing Bowen could be inspiring for fans, yet West Ham’s asking price could put the Anfield board off a potential deal for the winger.

Bowen is one of the best wide-attackers in the Premier League, with the winger this weekend showing Liverpool what he’s capable of with a fantastic goal at Anfield.

Yet for the Reds, any potential transfer for Bowen has to include Liverpool getting a good price for the 26-year-old, who at £75m currently is simply too much.

With Salah leaving for potentially £100m, West Ham will want to squeeze every penny out of Liverpool for Bowen, and the Reds will have to be ready to go to war with the Irons for the winger.
