With transfer deadline day now upon us and Ryan Gravenberch’s signing almost sealed, Liverpool fans will be assessing their window.
Gravenberch’s arrival will be the fourth of a summer that has seen Jurgen Klopp’s midfield completely transformed.
Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo have been brought in, as well as Gravenberch. For many, that will represent the rebuild plenty of Reds fans will have been dreaming of.
But with less around 14 hours left in the market, supporters will still be a little nervous. As well as the plethora of midfielders, Liverpool could really do with adding a new centre-back to their squad, too.
There will still be a slither of hope that there may be a late surprise coming. But according to The Telegraph, fans shouldn’t be too expectant of that.
They claim that after Gravenberch’s planned arrival, there are expected to be no further players joining today.

It’s reported that although Klopp had been keen to add a new defender this summer, the midfield had always been the biggest priority.
Had the right player, labelled as ‘young, versatile, ready-to-learn-the-ropes on the side lines for a year and not massively expensive’ been available, it’s claimed that the Reds may have made a move.
But having kept their powder dry, it would reportedly now be an ‘unlikely turn of events’ if Liverpool did anything of that ilk on deadline day.
Instead, the hunt for a new centre-back is said to be now top of the list for Klopp next summer. Let’s hope that doesn’t come back to bite us. It has before.
