Ryan Gravenberch is pushing to get a move from Bayern Munich to Liverpool tied up today.
The two clubs have been in contact over a fee for Gravenberch since last night. With Liverpool seemingly set to present a formal offer to Bayern, a deal is hopefully close.
And dropping the latest update about the transfer this afternoon, Sky Sports confirmed that the Reds are very much in the driving seat. Worryingly though, interest from Manchester United reportedly remains.

“Some news to bring you now regarding Ryan Gravenberch, who was not involved in training and is hoping to get the green light over an exit from Bayern Munich today,” said reporter Tom White.
“Remember it’s Liverpool who are pushing for his signature. The clubs remain in talks over the fee and structure of a potential deal.

“While Liverpool are in the driving seat, we have been told that Manchester United have not ended their interest in Gravenberch.
“We’ll keep a close eye on how that one develops with just one day to go in the transfer window.”
Gravenberch talks continue
It would be superb if Liverpool could get things boxed off with Gravenberch today. That would avoid the need for any last-minute scrambling on deadline day tomorrow.
Although that can be exciting for supporters, the Reds just need to get this deal done. They can’t afford to head into the rest of the season without the extra midfielder they badly need.
Gravenberch seems to have been earmarked for a specific role by Jurgen Klopp, and Liverpool definitely look more ready with the 21-year-old in the squad.

With that in mind, the interest from United is a worry. Up until now, it appeared that the Reds were firmly the front-runners for Gravenberch.
After claims that the player himself would prefer a move to Anfield, there seems to be no real reason why this would change.
The one hitch is potentially if Bayern can’t sort out a suitable replacement for the Dutchman. But in that scenario, neither Liverpool nor United would get their man. If that does happen, the Reds need to move quickly to pursue another target.
For now though, it’s still full steam ahead on Gravenberch. Let’s keep an eye out for further updates, they’re bound to be coming down the line.
