Ryan Gravenberch has reportedly missed training amid ongoing rumours that Liverpool are in talks to sign the Bayern Munich star.

According to journalist Christian Falk, the Dutch international was not present today at Sabener Strasse for Bayern training, with Liverpool currently in negotiations with the German side for Gravenberch.

Hailed as a player with ‘world-class’ potential by Goal, Gravenberch looks set to become a Liverpool player in the next 24 hours, with the player himself keen on a move to Merseyside.

And the midfielder missing training is significant, with Gravenberch taking action on his own end to push through a move to Merseyside in the final days of the summer window.

Indeed, Liverpool fans will no doubt be left annoyed that this transfer didn’t go through earlier in the window, yet all signs seem to indicate that the 21-year-old will be heading to Anfield.

With just under 36 hours until the transfer window closes, Liverpool need to act fast if they’re to sign Gravenberch, and a deal being completed today would be a best-case scenario.

The Dutch international has been waiting for a move all summer, and Gravenberch will be itching to leave Bayern for a club like the Reds, where he will likely become a regular.

Moreover, Liverpool securing the youngster’s signature today will give the Anfield side a little bit of time tomorrow to sort out potential departures as well as make another signing if possible.
