Liverpool head to St James’ Park on Sunday to take on a dangerous looking Newcastle United side.
The Magpies may have lost to Manchester City last time out, but they’re still one of the favourites to rival Liverpool for the Champions League spots.
Having already travelled to Chelsea on Matchday 1, it’s another tricky away day for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds. With a couple of big personnel decisions to make, here’s the XI we think the manager will send out.
Alisson Becker didn’t have the best of games last time out against Bournemouth, but still showed his qualities late in the match. He’ll start again tomorrow.
At right-back, there’s no question that Trent Alexander-Arnold will continue, too. The 24-year-old looked to have picked up a knock last weekend, but Klopp confirmed he’s fine to play here.

The first change will come at centre-back, and it’s an enforced one. With Ibrahima Konate out injured, we think Joel Matip will come in for his first start of the season. Virgil van Dijk will captain the team alongside him.
Unless injury dictates otherwise between now and 4.30 tomorrow, Andy Robertson should start at left-back.
With Alexis Mac Allister’s red card overturned and Wataru Endo now installed as the new No.6, Liverpool’s midfield should be fairly easy to predict.
Both should start tomorrow, with Endo already being warned that he could have a baptism of fire ahead.
Completing the trio will be Dominik Szoboszlai, as Liverpool fans get a first look at their new, completed midfield three. We can’t wait to see them in action.
As Endo completes the midfield, it means that a decision will have to made on Cody Gakpo. After starting the first two games of the season in a deeper role, Gakpo won’t be needed there tomorrow.
Because of the good goal scoring form of Diogo Jota though, we think Klopp will opt to leave the £35m signing on the bench. Jota gets the nod through the middle.
Either side of him, there isn’t much pondering needed for Jurgen. Luis Diaz has started the season brilliantly, while Mohamed Salah is a shoo-in, always. With Darwin Nunez and Gakpo to come from the bench, there’s plenty of firepower in reserve.
Liverpool’s predicted XI vs Newcastle: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Endo, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Jota, Diaz
