According to the Athletic, the Reds are now considering a move for the Hungarian international Jurgen Klopp’s side expand their net of attacking midfield targets, with Szoboszlai the latest name to be added to the long list of potential recruits.
As per the report, Liverpool have already met Szoboszlai’s representatives with a view of pushing for a transfer this summer, with the meeting believed to be unrelated to Leipzig’s push to sign Fabio Carvalho from the Reds on loan.

With a reported asking price of £61m, Szoboszlai has already publically stated that he is a fan of Klopp and the way Liverpool play, comments that could come in handy in the Anfield side’s attempt to sign the former RB Salzburg superstar this window.
Indeed, Liverpool are seemingly aware that the finances of such a deal will be difficult given how highly-rated Szoboszlai is at Leipzig. However, given how ideal the versatile playmaker is for a club like the Reds, a transfer could be agreed on depending on what happens in the coming weeks.
Liverpool should be pushing hard to sign Szoboszlai

Szoboszlai’s talent speaks for itself, with the winger one of the most exciting youngsters currently playing in the Bundesliga and a prospect who could develop into a world-beater under Klopp. And as a result, Liverpool should be pushing hard to get this deal done.
Of course, Leipzig’s demands could make a deal hard for the Reds to conclude in a timely manner. However, given how promising Szoboszlai is and how ideal the winger is for a manager like Klopp, Liverpool could push the boat out to complete the signing in an orderly fashion.
