Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly a big fan of Mohammed Kudus, who is believed to be a target for Liverpool.
According to TalkSport reporter Alex Crook, the Italian coach is keeping an eye on the Ajax talent as Kudus looks primed to leave the Dutch giants this summer, with Brighton now interested in signing the 22-year-old forward, who is also wanted by Liverpool.
Available at just £40m, Kudus could be set for a move to the Premier League with Liverpool and now Brighton chasing the Ghana international. Yet this latest update could give the Seagulls the edge in talks to sign the former FC Nordsjaelland star.
As we know, Brighton will be in the UEFA Europa League next season, and with Kudus a sensational talent, there’s a good chance that the versatile attacker will become a regular for De Zerbi’s side, a prospect that could result in the youngster rejecting Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool could easily lose Kudus race to Brighton

At £40m, Kudus is an alluring option for many top clubs, including Liverpool. Yet with Brighton now interested, there’s a real chance that the Seagulls can land the Ajax superstar if they’re willing to meet the Dutch side’s financial demands for the forward.
Indeed, Brighton are a club who are on the up under De Zerbi. And adding Kudus to their ranks could prove to be an incredible move for the south coast side, with Liverpool potentially losing out on the African talent if they’re again too slow off the mark for the attacking prospect.
