OGC Nice are reportedly eager to keep Khephren Thuram at the club for one more season, with Liverpool interested in the midfielder.
According to Sports Zone, the Ligue 1 side have no intention of selling Thuram this summer despite Liverpool preparing an opening bid for the 22-year-old, who has been tipped for a major move after the U-21 Euros with France.
Reportedly valued at £50m, Thuram has emerged as Liverpool’s main midfield target after the capture of Alexis Mac Allister earlier this month, with the 22-year-old talent highly regarded as one of the best talents making a name for themselves in Europe.

With Liverpool linked with the likes of Gabri Veiga and Manu Kone, a lot has been made of who the Reds will move for as their second signing of the window. Yet it now looks like that player will be Nice’s Thuram.
However, this latest update could be a massive roadblock for Liverpool in their attempt to recruit Thuram, with Nice now seemingly looking to keep hold of the midfielder despite the huge payday that could be on offer for the French club.
Liverpool have to break Nice’s resolve over Thuram

Nice are of course well within their right to reject any move for Thuram this summer. But with the French club on the hunt for funds and Liverpool willing to spend big, it might not take much to break the Ligue 1 side’s resolve over the 22-year-old talent.
As we know, Nice could easily see their demands for Thuram met by Liverpool next month. And with the Reds keen to secure a second signing as early as possible, it might not be long before a big offer is on it’s way to the French Riviera.
