Ibrahima Konate has again voiced his approval of Liverpool signing Khephren Thuram, with the Reds heavily linked with a move for the France international.
Speaking to Telefoot live on French TV, the Anfield defender was asked about if he wanted to see the 22-year-old midfielder make the move to Merseyside this summer amid growing links between the two parties, to which Konate replied with: “Yes, I really hope so.”
Thuram has been strongly linked with a move away from OGC Nice this summer after a sensational year in Ligue 1 with the French side. And Liverpool are seemingly the early frontrunner for the youngster’s signature, with midfield an area the Reds are looking to add to.

Moreover, Konate seems keen to see Thuram make the move to Merseyside this summer, with the centre-back now making it publically known for the second time in a week that he wants to see Liverpool make a move to bring the Nice talent to the Premier League.
Indeed, with L’Equipe reporting that Liverpool have now made Thuram their priority target, a lot of work still needs to be done before the midfielder is officially on his way to the Reds, yet Konate’s latest plea could work in the Anfield side’s favour as the weeks drag on.
Konate should deserve an agent bonus if Thuram signs for Liverpool

Konate has put in some outstanding work this international break to lure Thuram to Liverpool, and should a deal be completed, fans will no doubt want the French international to deserve some sort of praise for all he has done in getting the midfielder to England.
Thuram ticks a lot of boxes for what Liverpool want in a new summer signing this year, and for Koante, he will be pleased with himself if he can play a role in getting the 22-year-old to decide on a move to Merseyside despite interest from elsewhere.
