Liverpool are determined not to sanction the permanent sale of Fabio Carvalho this summer.
Carvalho has been linked with a move away from Anfield after seeing his game time reduced in the second part of last season. But according to the Liverpool Echo, there’s no way the 20-year-old will be let go.
Private talks between staff are said to have ended with them being ‘adamant’ that Carvalho will still be a Liverpool player by the end of the window.

However, the Reds have reportedly accepted that a loan move would be ‘productive’ to the youngster.
With that in mind, Liverpool are claimed to have been approached by a number of clubs, ‘at home and abroad.’ RB Leipzig are named as one such side, but the others remain a mystery for now.
Carvalho not for sale
By now, it’s pretty clear that Liverpool have no intention of losing Carvalho for good in the near future. Whatever happens otherwise remains to be seen, but one way or another he’ll still be on the books at Anfield come September.
All in all, that’s probably the right decision. Although there have been suggestions that the Portugal U21 international could fetch as much as £20m for Liverpool [GiveMeSport].
In a summer where they yet again seem to be pinching pennies, that could really help Jurgen Klopp’s budget.

Nevertheless, it would be foolish to give up and cash in on Carvalho now. He’s shown glimpses of real quality during his time at the club and deserves a more substantial chance to show that in the future.
But first, he really does need game time. After beginning the season with a little more of that than perhaps expected, the former Fulham man has featured in just three Liverpool games since February.
Those appearances amounted to just nine minutes on the pitch. Not enough for a young man trying to develop his game.
In terms of loan options, Fulham have actually been mooted as a potential candidate. Back in an environment he knows with a manager who trusts him, that might be a scenario where everyone wins. A better informed decision can then be taken on his future in 12 months time.
