Trent Alexander-Arnold has been seen laughing with Leicester City midfielder James Maddison amid reports that the playmaker is a target for Liverpool.
England’s official Twitter account posted a video of the Three Lions participating in training ahead of their June fixtures, with Alexander-Arnold spotted with Maddison following links that the 26-year-old could now be a target for Liverpool this summer.
90min reported that the £60m-rated player is on Jurgen Klopp’s radar following Leicester’s relegation to the Championship, with many expecting Maddison to now be available for a bargain price given his immense quality and figures in the Premier League.
Moreover, with Mason Mount set to join Manchester United, Maddison could be the perfect alternative for Liverpool, who also have an incredible track record of signing players from relegated Premier League clubs and turning them into key names in the squad.
Alexander-Arnold has to sell Liverpool project to Maddison this month
With Leicester going down, a firesale is expected at the King Power Stadium this summer, with Maddison likely to be the biggest item on sale. And for Liverpool, they will be hoping that Alexander-Arnold does his part by selling the project to the England international.
