Liverpool are reportedly making progress in their efforts to sign Alexis Mac Allister, with the Brighton & Hove Albion star keen on a move to Anfield.
According to the Daily Mail, the Reds are making strong advances in getting a deal wrapped up for the Argentine international, with Liverpool confident that Mac Allister will sign for the club as early as next month and way before the start of pre-season.
As per the report, Jurgen Klopp wants the bulk of Liverpool’s signings made in June, with pre-season set to start in early July in Germany’s Black Forest, and Mac Allister looks likely to be brought in way before the Merseyside giants begin their summer training camp.
Lauded as ‘unbelievable’ by former Premier League goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, the Brighton star has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and has led Brighton to their first European qualification spot in their entire history, with the midfielder also winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
With Liverpool making big strides in getting a deal secured as soon as possible, Mac Allister could soon be announced as Klopp’s first signing of the summer, and the 24-year-old’s arrival could be the start of something great in the coming months.
