“I think Mac Allister was unbelievable for Argentina at the World Cup.

“I think he would be a very, very good signing for Liverpool, if that was possible.”

According to FootballTransfers, the Merseyside outfit are interested in signing the Argentine, and the player’s father was spotted at Anfield for the 5-2 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.

More recently, The Athletic have named Mac Allister as a major transfer target for Liverpool this summer.

Having pulled out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham due to the fear extended negotiations could lead to them missing out on other targets, Liverpool have now focused their attention on the likes of Mac Allister.

Having shot to fame out in Qatar as he helped Argentina lift the World Cup trophy, the midfielder has also been excelling in the Premier League this season.

In 25 league games this term, the 24-year-old has bagged eight goals and one assist.

These contributions have seen Brighton overtake the Reds in the Premier League table, illustrating just how impressive the Seagulls’s key players have really been.

In our view, Mac Allister would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool, so let’s hope the club can get it done.
