Jones has stepped his game up in a big way since being brought back into the Liverpool starting XI, and the midfielder’s display tonight against Leicester was arguably the youngster’s best for his boyhood club in his senior career.

As well as two well-taken goals, Jones controlled the midfield with the authority of an experienced veteran, and with the 22-year-old working well alongside Alexander-Arnold, the duo have been key to Liverpool’s improved form that could now shoot the Reds into UEFA Champions League qualification.
