Owen Beck has lauded Trent Alexander-Arnold’s career from the Liverpool academy to a regular under Jurgen Klopp.
Speaking to the Reds’ official website, the 20-year-old Welsh youth international praised the 24-year-old fullback for being an inspiration to those in Liverpool’s academy for going all the way to the top having started out in the youth ranks.
Whilst it’s unlikely that Beck will go as far as Alexander-Arnold has for Liverpool, the left-back is still determined to break into Klopp’s senior plans, and inspiration from the England international is proving to be a key source of inspiration for the Wrexham-born talent.

Indeed, next season could see a number of young players from the academy make the leap into the senior team, namely Conor Bradly and Tyler Morton. And for Beck, looking up to the likes of Alexander-Arnold and his development over the years is a message of hope for all the youth stars.
The youngster said when asked about Alexander-Arnold’s story from the academy to the senior team: “It’s fantastic to see how Trent [Alexander-Arnold] has come through the Academy and gone on to win all of those medals, it really is a big influence for all of us young players.”
Beck has the right mindset in looking up to Alexander-Arnold’s story

Beck’s senior career hasn’t exactly gone to plan after two failed loan spells at Portuguese side Famalicao and Bolton Wanderers, yet the youngster is seemingly unwilling to lose hope of making his Liverpool dream come true, and looking up to a player like Alexander-Arnold is the right way to go about it.
The 24-year-old has been Liverpool’s biggest academy success story since Steven Gerrard, and with Beck keen to make a name for himself at Anfield, taking in the lessons Alexander-Arnold has learnt will be huge in the fullback making his way into Klopp’s plans.
