Jordan Henderson has signalled out Alisson Becker for praise after the Brazilian keeper’s impressive performance for Liverpool against Fulham.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the England international lauded his South American teammate after Alisson kept his first clean sheet in six games as Liverpool secured a comfortable 1-0 win against Marco Silva’s Fulham, sending the Reds to just four points off fourth spot.

Alisson has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season and was at the top of his game last night against Fulham, and Henderson was full of praise for the 30-year-old, with the captain saying: “We’ve had to rely on him a few times, to be fair, but [he was] amazing again, always on his toes and there when needed for us.”

Whilst Liverpool’s form has been all over the place this season, Alisson’s performances have remained at an overall consistent level, and the Brazilian was at his best this week against Fulham as the keeper kept an impressive clean sheet at Anfield.

Indeed, Alisson’s form has been crucial in keeping Liverpool in their improbable push for top four, and Henderson’s praise is more than warranted, with the South American saving the Reds some key points along the way, efforts that be huge come the end of the season.

Alisson’s performance against Fulham was a notable highlight for Liverpool fans, and with four games of the season left to play, the former AS Roma shot-stopper has a huge platform to build from in the final league matches, where the Reds could qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

As we know, Manchester United’s form is starting to wobble slightly with the injuries of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, and with Alisson and Liverpool flying high, there’s every chance the Brazilian can be the sole reason Jurgen Klopp’s side pull off the unthinkable.
