Harry Kane has praised Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson after yesterday’s thrilling 4-3 draw at Anfield.
Kane cut a frustrated figure after Diogo Jota last minute winner for Liverpool, when he was being interviewed by Tottenham’s official website.
However, the England captain still found time to praise Liverpool’s goalkeeper for some of the saves he pulled off, as Spurs tried to complete a comeback.
Kane said: “The 70/60 minutes [after the start] we had the better chances, created some really good ones, hit the post a few times, “Alisson made some good saves but we fully deserved to get back into the game like we did.
“But to go through all that effort and determination and desire and to come back at a place which is one of the hardest away grounds in the Premier League to give it away so cheaply in the end is just hard to put into words.”
Alisson actually wasn’t as involved as he has been in some of Liverpool’s games this season.

The Brazilian did pull off a decent save with his feet from Dejan Kulusevski and generally looked commanding, but it wasn’t one of his most heroic displays of the campaign, where he has been kept very busy.
More Alisson praise
Kane’s words of praise are just another to add to the long list of plaudits Alisson has received this term, after an outstanding personal campaign.
The 30-year-old stopper has arguably been Liverpool’s best player this term, where he has proven he ranks among the very best goalkeepers in the world.
Jurgen Klopp has probably felt that Alisson has been tested too often, however.
And Liverpool will surely want to see their goalkeeper receiving far less attention next year, when they will aim to tighten up at the back considerably.
