Jordan Henderson has issued a message to Liverpool’s squad that he wants to see more consistency, starting today against Tottenham in the Premier League.
Writing in the club’s official programme, the Reds’ captain revealed that he has been going on to his teammates about how being consistent in the league will be the main step in the squad returning to their best self, with Liverpool currently on a three-game winning streak.
The Merseyside giants have a chance to climb up to fifth in the Premier League standings if Liverpool can get the best of Tottenham at Anfield later today, and a string of form at this stage of the season could be key in Jurgen Klopp’s side making a late surge for top-four.

Indeed, whilst the chance are still low, Henderson’s message of consistency could be key in Liverpool’s push for a UEFA Champions League spot, and the midfielder has seemingly been drilling the idea into his counterparts in recent weeks.
The captain said: “I make no apologies for banging on about consistency because this is something we have to achieve if we want to keep on improving. It is definitely good to see that we have taken some good steps in this direction, but this is no time to enjoy the moment. We have to kick on from here, hopefully starting with the game against Tottenham.”
Liverpool can take a big leap towards Europe with a win against Tottenham

Consistency is one big factor Liverpool have been lacking all season, with the Reds going from beating Manchester United 7-0 one weekend to losing to AFC Bournemouth the next, yet with three wins in succession, Henderson might soon be getting his demands from the squad, and a result today against Tottenham could be huge.
European qualification of any form should be the goal for Liverpool between now and the end of the season, and with Tottenham one the Reds’ last big matches of the campaign, a win today could be massive in the Anfield secure securing continental football for next year.
