Liverpool may now need to identify a replacement for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Having impressed over the past few seasons in domestic cup competitions, fears have grown over the Irishman wanting to leave the club in order to pursue regular first-team football elsewhere.

Taking to Twitter, Romano has now suggested this could be the case, and the Reds may be forced to bring in a back-up keeper for Alisson Becker.
“Understand Liverpool could also look at new back up goalkeeper in the summer as Caoimhin Kelleher hopes to get more minutes as regular starter elsewhere next season,” wrote Romano.
“Many clubs are already showing interest in Kelleher loan deal in case Liverpool gives the green light.”
Kelleher could leave Liverpool
Kelleher’s departure would be a massive shame for everyone at Anfield, as he has always been excellent when called upon in a Reds shirt.
Jurgen Klopp has always been extremely complimentary of the shot-stopper, having claimed he’s an ‘outstanding’ player who is the ‘best number two’ in world football.
The trouble is, Alisson Becker may just be the best number one in world football. With the Brazilian at the club, chances will always be limited for the 24-year-old.

Therefore, whilst it will be sad to see him go, Kelleher should leave the club for the better of his career.
Consequently, the Reds will need to identify a replacement happy to play back-up to Alisson, as opportunities will be few and far between.
