Liverpool are pushing ahead with their attempt to sign out-of-favour Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
Gravenberch had reportedly been a target for Liverpool last summer, but the Reds were beaten to the punch by the German Champions. Now, after a disappointing season in Munich, the 20-year-old is set to be surprisingly back on the market.
And as per The Times, Liverpool are determined to get their man this time around. They claim that the Reds are now ‘stepping up’ their interest in Gravenberch, having met the player’s father in the Netherlands on Tuesday.

The Dutchman is reportedly ‘considering his future’ after finding opportunities limited in Germany. As a result, Liverpool are said to have moved in. Following his signing for around £21m last summer, the Reds are ‘projecting’ a transfer fee of something close to £25m.
It’s claimed that Liverpool had been tracking Gravenberch long before they pulled out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham this week. With plenty of business to be done, the Reds are reportedly looking to tie deals up as quick as they can. With that in mind, the Netherlands international is said to ‘figure prominently’ on Liverpool’s transfer shortlist.
Liverpool step up Gravenberch pursuit
This is shaping up to be a perfect scenario for Liverpool this summer. Having missed out on Gravenberch last year, they must have felt as though their chance to bring him to Anfield had passed.
But after his strange struggles to find his feet in Munich, they’ve been presented with an unexpected reprise.

For where they find themselves right now – desperately in need of a number of new midfielders – Gravenberch couldn’t really be more perfect. To sign a player of his potential and ability for just £25m would be exceptional business.
As well as getting themselves a really high quality player, Liverpool would free up room for another, bigger money signing.
He may not be everyone’s cup of tea after a difficult season in Germany. But you really won’t find a player with as high-a ceiling as Gravenberch for that little-a price anywhere in the World this summer.
Bayern are seemingly keen to cut their losses on him with Konrad Laimer set to come in. With the two clubs on good terms having done business over the last few years, there’s no reason this can’t get done.
