Liverpool reportedly admirer RB Salzburg talent Luka Sucic, who has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks ahead of the summer window.
According to Goal, the Croatian international is one of the numerous midfielders the Reds are now targeting with Jurgen Klopp keen to bring in numerous players to revamp his options, with Sucic now on the list for Liverpool alongside the likes of Ryan Gravenberch and Teun Koopmeiners.
What makes Sucic stand out above other midfield targets, though, is how cheap the 20-year-old could cost Liverpool, with the Salzburger Nachrichten recently reporting that the Austrian giants are open to selling the versatile youngster for just €20m (£17m) this summer.
With Liverpool believing that the Croatian has the potential to become an ‘elite’ talent, a move to sign the Vienna-born prospect could be a smart one from the Reds, especially with Salzburg setting a low asking price for their latest midfield wonderkid.
Moreover, with Liverpool giving up on signing Jude Bellingham due to financial constraints, moving for a bargain talent like Sucic will free up room in Jurgen Klopp’s transfer budget to move for more readymade targets, with the Croatian international a player who could take some time to develop in the Premier League.
Liverpool should make Sucic one of their earliest summer signings
Liverpool are aware of the challenges that are on the horizon this summer, with every club in Europe aware that the Reds have money to spend and they’re looking to rebuild their entire midfield from the ground-up, and as a result, the Reds should look to secure Sucic’s signature as quickly as possible.
The 20-year-old is already one of the best creative prospects in Europe, and with Salzburg valuing the midfielder at just £17m, Liverpool could land themselves a bargain if they’re quick off the mark and able to wrap up a deal for the Croatian international as quickly as possible.
