Liverpool target Gabri Veiga should not pass up the opportunity to join a ‘big team’ in the summer, according to Celta Vigo legend Aleksandr Mostovoi.
Speaking in an interview on SrPablo’s YouTube channel, the former Russia international urged the 20-year-old to leave the La Liga outfit at the end of the season, having recently been linked with various European giants.
“Talking about young players, in two years you don’t know where they will be,” said Mostovoi.
“My advice is that, if you have an offer from a big team, you have to go.”

Going off the career of former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas, who has since returned to Celta – for whom he has made 448 appearances, Mostovoi encouraged Veiga to make the move.
“You always have time to come back,” he said. “But if you have an offer, you have to go and try. There may not be a second chance.
“If it works out, great. And if not, you always have time. Iago is back (at Celta) and he’s the best.”
According to Spanish outlet AS, the Reds are willing to meet Veiga’s £35m release clause to sign the playmaker in the summer.
Veiga urged to make big summer move
Having excelled in the middle of the park for Celta this season, it’s easy to see why so many clubs are in the race to sign the 20-year-old.
The youngster has made 26 appearances in La Liga this term, during which he has impressively bagged nine goals and four assists.
As a result, a whole host of teams from around Europe have emerged with interest in a summer transfer.
As per ESPN, the Merseyside outfit are joined by Manchester United, Newcastle, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Napoli in the queue – with many willing to meet his exit clause.

However, Faro de Vigo suggests Veiga currently sees Arsenal as his preferred destination.
Therefore, Liverpool obviously face heavy competition for the midfielder, but they remain a key club in the race to land his signature.
They certainly need a few additions, so the youngster could be a brilliant choice for Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
