Inter Milan are ready to listen to offers for reported Liverpool target Nicolo Barella this summer.
Barella has been one of Inter’s star men ever since signing from Cagliari in 2018. But with the Nerazzurri struggling this season, Calciomercatoweb report that they’re now ready to put the 26-year-old up for sale.
It’s claimed that Inter ‘could be convinced’ to sell one of their big players in order to raise funds in the transfer market. As a result of his ‘disappointing’ and ‘negative’ recent displays, Barella could reportedly be the player sacrificed.

As the Serie A side look to boost their own budget, it’s claimed that the Italian would cost any prospective suitor around £44m.
Should he leave Inter, Barella’s future is said to most likely lie in the Premier League. To that end, both Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly ‘monitoring’ his situation.
Barella standing out amongst the crowd
If Barella really is available for £44m, Liverpool shouldn’t hesitate in trying to get this done. He may be a slightly tempestuous character, but the Sardinian is a top-class midfielder.
You can easily see how he’d fit in at Anfield. Box-to-box, feisty and energetic, Liverpool could really do with a player like him right now.

Steven Gerrard suggested as much when covering England’s game against Italy last month. The Reds icon claimed that Barella has the potential to be a ‘world-class’ player.
At twenty-six, we’re not sure exactly how much potential there is left for the Inter man to reach. But we’d argue that he is in fact already a world-class midfielder.
Even amongst the multitude of players Liverpool have been linked with ahead of this summer, Barella stands out. Along with Jude Bellingham, he’d be many fans’ first-choice option for the midfield.
In our opinion, we still can’t see the Italy international leaving his homeland. If there’s one European nation it remains hard for English clubs to sign players from, it’s Italy. But if Barella is on the market, it’s equally hard to see Inter selling to a Serie A rival. This is certainly a saga to keep abreast of, Reds.
