Garth Crooks has suggested that a club like Liverpool should make a move to sign Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister after another impressive Premier League display.
Writing on BBC Sport, the pundit lauded the Argentine international after Mac Allister rescued a point for the Seagulls in a brilliant 3-3 draw down on the south coast against Brentford, with the midfielder once again proving that he could be set for a massive move this summer.
Mac Allister has been heavily linked with a big-money transfer, with Liverpool one of the clubs believed to be interested in signing the Brighton star, who this season guided Argentina to World Cup success in Qatar and has taken his game to a whole new level under Roberto De Zerbi.

And now, Crooks has tipped that a club like Liverpool should make a move to sign Mac Allister, who is proving with each passing week that he has the potential to become a superstar in the Premier League if he continues to develop at his current rate.
Crooks said on Mac Allister after his latest Brighton showcase: “The Argentina international has been on fire since his triumphant return from the World Cup and provided the Seagulls with real quality in midfield. The big question for Brighton is can they keep him?
“Quite why a club like Liverpool have not made a serious bid for Mac Allister when their midfield is so short on craft and energy is hard to fathom but you can bet your bottom dollar that one of the big clubs will come in for him before the start of next season.”
Liverpool have to make summer swoop to sign Mac Allister

Currently valued at £70m, Mac Allister’s stock continues to rise after each game for Brighton, and for Liverpool, the Reds will be foolish to not make a move for the Argentine this summer, even if the Seagulls end up finishing above the Merseyside club in the Premier League come the end of the season.
Dynamic, energetic and Premier League-proven, Mac Allister ticks a lot of boxes for what Liverpool need as a midfield signing this summer, and whilst the transfer won’t be cheap, the South American talent has a lot of what the Reds are missing in their current squad.
