Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director has confirmed that star attacker Daichi Kamada will leave this summer amid reported interest from the likes of Liverpool.
Speaking to ZDF via Sky Germany, Markus Krosche confirmed that the Japanese international will leave the Bundesliga side this summer, with the German official saying: “The thing about Daichi Kamada is that he will probably leave us.
“It’s always the case that there are departures and arrivals. As a club, we have to make decisions. You’ll see how big the upheaval will be. It’s about being prepared.”
Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger recently claimed that Liverpool are hot on Kamada’s trail with the attacker’s contract due to expire at the end of this season, with the 26-year-old attacker one of the best in his position in Germany in recent years and an ideal signing for the Reds.
With Roberto Firmino set to leave Anfield at the end of his contract, Jurgen Klopp is in the market for attacking depth, and with Kamada set to become a free agent this summer, the Frankfurt star could be the perfect replacement for the Brazilian international.
And this latest update from Frankfurt’s director could be massive, with Kamada a player who could add a lot of value to Liverpool’s squad as well as fill a much-needed void that will be left once Firmino leaves Anfield for good at the end of this season.

The forward is bound to be one of the most in-demand free agents out there in the market, and with Liverpool in need of a specific type of striker, Kamada ticks a lot of boxes for what Klopp wants in a replacement for Firmino this summer.
