Jordan Henderson has posted a snap of he and Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham recovering from their game with England yesterday.

The two players started the Three Lions’ 2-0 win over Ukraine in midfield together, Henderson claiming an assist in a comfortable victory. And taking to his Instagram stories after the game, the Liverpool star shared a photo of he and Bellingham making use of Wembley’s recovery facilities.

A big smile from Hendo and a thumbs up from Jude. The bromance continues apace!

Henderson back on the pitch

Quite what Jurgen Klopp will have made of Henderson playing 90 minutes for England yesterday, we’re not quite sure.

The Reds captain had been struggling with a combination of illness and injury over the last few weeks. Although he looks to have shaken off the illness, Klopp perhaps would have liked to have seen the 32-year-old given a rest.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Liverpool boss took umbrage with one of Gareth Southgate’s decisions, that’s for sure. But whatever Klopp’s reservations, Henderson was good for his country. He usually is.

It’s been said many times before, but it also doesn’t do any harm to have him whispering sweet nothings into Bellingham’s ear.

The two have struck up a real friendship over the course of the last year or so. As Liverpool look for any advantage they can possibly claim in the race to sign Bellingham, this could still be something that bears fruit.

In the meantime, let’s hope that the recovery was useful for Henderson. Liverpool have an enormous week in the Premier League starting Saturday.
