An offer of around £106m would be too good for Eintracht Frankfurt to turn down for reported Liverpool target Randal Kolo Muani.
Muani has been the subject of huge interest from across Europe this season. Liverpool are supposedly one of the sides in for him on the back of an excellent campaign with Eintracht,
So too – reportedly – are Manchester United. And writing for CaughtOffside today, journalist Christian Falk gave an update on where a transfer for the Frenchman is at.
“We heard that Manchester United is going to prepare a big offer for Randal Kolo Muani – specifically, €120m [£106m]. That’s a price Frankfurt wouldn’t say no to,” the journalist said.
“Last week, there was a meeting with the new agents, Moussa Sissoko and the sporting director, Markus Krosche. They are getting offers and if there is a big offer they have to consider it. At the moment, nothing has happened as the offer isn’t on the table yet. The agents are pushing because new agents can only make money if they make a new deal.”
Muani not a priority for Liverpool
With such big figures being bandied about for Muani, it’s impossible to see how Liverpool sign him. Without even getting into whether the 24-year-old is worth it, the Reds have too many other priorities.
As we know, the big target this summer is Jude Bellingham. Falk also wrote today that Bellingham is way ahead of Muani on Liverpool’s summer shortlist.

With a price-tag of at least £110m on his head [The Telegraph], the 19-year-old is going to cost someone a huge amount of money.
If that ends up being Liverpool, then their spending simply can’t stop there. They need to bring in at least one more starting midfielder at the very least – perhaps even two. Should there be change left over from that, then the Reds need to target a quality centre-back.
Only then would there be a need to target another forward. Yes, Liverpool are losing Roberto Firmino in the summer, but they don’t necessarily need to replace him. They have five other quality options as well as the likes of Kaide Gordon, Ben Doak and Fabio Carvalho coming through. To spend over £100m on signing another wouldn’t seem like smart business.
Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped the reports that Liverpool want Muani. The France international is certainly one to keep track of this summer.
