The father of Liverpool target Jude Bellingham is set to hold a meeting with Real Madrid, as he assesses his son’s options ahead of a summer move.
That’s according to FootMercato, who claim Mark Bellingham, the 19-year-old’s Dad, will meet with Juni Calafat, director of international football for the Spanish giants.
Calafat is responsible for recruiting young players on a global scale, so he will be very familiar with the Borussia Dortmund starlet.
The Madrid chief will present his side’s project to the player’s father at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London.
Regarding the Merseyside outfit, Bellingham remains as Jurgen Klopp’s number one transfer target for the summer.
According to The Mirror, the youngster’s Dad favours a move to Liverpool; thus suggesting he is entertaining all options before his son makes a decision.
Bellingham’s father meets with Real Madrid
Whether this means anything significant for Liverpool’s pursuit of the player, that remains to be seen.
According to various sources, the Reds remain as the frontrunners to secure the midfielder’s signature.
With a valuation of £130m, Bellingham will be at the centre of Klopp’s rebuild of his squad.
At 19 years old, he has already demonstrated he is one of the most exciting players in world football, having been hailed as ‘incredible’ by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Therefore, the Merseyside club are betting on his ability to lead the line for the next ten years or so.
Madrid are clearly thinking the same thing, as they have already signed young players like Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga to start off their midfield.
Therefore, Liverpool fans can only wait and see, as the Bellingham camp ponder his next destination.
