Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho has sent a message on Instagram to Reds teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Following the 2-0 victory over Everton on Monday, the Merseyside outfit will be preparing hard to face Newcastle United on Saturday.
With preparations in full flow, the Liverpool right-back shared a video of an intense workout of his in the gym. He captioned the post, “Work doesn’t stop”.
Taking to the comments, Carvalho agreed with the 24-year-old, having been working hard behind the scenes.
He replied, “Damn right it doesn’t,” despite his lack of minutes on the pitch in recent weeks.
With this in mind, if he is putting in maximum effort, it begs the question why Jurgen Klopp doesn’t utilise the 20-year-old more regularly.
Liverpool vs Newcastle: Massive game
After 21 matches played, Liverpool currently sit ninth in the Premier League table, having amassed 32 points.
After an amazing season thus far, Newcastle find themselves in the top-four, on the path to securing Champions League football.
Having played 22 games, the Magpies have gained 41 points. They are five points behind third-place Manchester United, but with a game in-hand.
Interestingly, if the Reds beat Eddie Howe’s men on Saturday, they will be just six points behind them. They will also have a game in-hand, meaning they could theoretically go within three points of the Toon.
Therefore, this is a huge game for both sides. It will prove pivotal in both their seasons.
Three points could catapult Liverpool back into the race for the top-four, which seemed like a long way off not too long ago.
