Inter Milan are weighing up an approach to sign Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino this summer.
Firmino is out of contract at the end of the season and can now negotiate a deal with teams outside of England. As a result, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Inter are keen to make a move for the Brazilian.
It’s claimed that the Milan side are a little low on funds in the summer market. This could reportedly see them get creative with free transfer signings.
Firmino is said to be one of these such targets. With an extension still not sealed with Liverpool, he’s currently set to be one of the higher profile free agents on the market.

Firmino still yet to commit to Liverpool
There has been plenty of talk over recent months in regard to Firmino’s contract extension. By the sounds of it, all party’s are now keen for Bobby to stay at Anfield.
That rather the begs the question why nothing has happened yet, then.
Usually when a player ticks this close down to his release date, a new contract doesn’t end up being signed. That would be a huge shame in Firmino’s case.
He may not be as pivotal as he once was to Jurgen Klopp, but he’s still got a lot to offer. The 31-year-old has shown that when he’s played this season.

It may be hard to remember now, seeing as Bobby hasn’t played for over two months, but he’s been one of Liverpool’s better players this season. As Fabinho says, he’s been ‘excellent.’
His nine goals put him only behind Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez in the scoring charts. Firmino actually scored in his last outing for the Reds too – against Southampton on November 12th. So, he’s still got a future at Liverpool. His Anfield story isn’t fully written yet.
The lure of a new challenge may be something that catches Bobby’s eye, though. Inter would represent a big club at a late stage of his career, and the lack of transfer fee will mean his wage may take a little bump as well.
They won’t be the only ones in for Firmino if he decides not to continue at Liverpool. But we still hope he does.
