Fiorentina intend to keep midfielder Sofyan Amrabat beyond the January transfer window, according to 90min.
As per the report, the Serie A outfit have decided they will try to retain the 26-year-old in the summer, despite rumours linking the player with moves to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The same outlet previously reported the Reds’ interest in the Morocco international, which has only emerged this season.

While it was stated that the Italian club had knocked back any January enquiries for the midfielder, it is now believed Fiorentina are intent on keeping him beyond this month’s transfer deadline.
Viola general manager Joe Barone has now publicly confirmed this.
“For Amrabat, we are convinced of the team we have created,” he told Sportitalia.
Amrabat set to stay at Fiorentina
According to CalcioMercato, Amrabat had been given a £35m price-tag this month. Although this may appear relatively cheap in the current market, Liverpool were put off by their valuation.
Either way, this is irrelevant now, as it appears the Moroccan is poised to stay with the Serie A club.
This is a big shame for the Reds, as they are in desperate need of midfield additions.

Hailed by talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara as an ‘exceptional’ player, it seems like the 26-year-old could have been an ideal solution to Jurgen Klopp’s problems.
However, the club now need to look elsewhere if they are to secure an extra midfielder before the window slams shut on Tuesday.
This really is a huge need for the Reds, so hopefully Julian Ward can work something out in time.
