Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo suggests he hasn’t been affected by the rumours linking him with a move away – with Liverpool touted as a possible destination.
Speaking with the Seagulls’ official site, the 21-year-old claimed he remains fully focused on the south-coast side, despite speculation emerging in the media.
“I am focussed on Brighton,” Caicedo said.
“I am here, I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focussed only on here.
“I handle [the speculation] well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week.”
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are well informed on the Ecuadorian’s situation.
Caicedo remains focused on Brighton
Just yesterday it was revealed that the player had picked Futbol Division as his new agents.
This comes after claims his current situation with his representatives made it difficult for clubs to navigate, making a potential transfer less likely.
As a result, the 21-year-old made the decision to switch to a new set of agents. Consequently, this suggested the Ecuador international is open to the idea of a transfer.
This act followed interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, who are both interested in signing the midfielder.
According to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, it would take an offer around the £75m mark to stand a chance of luring the player away from Brighton, who remain reluctant to sanction a sale.
Caicedo says he remains fully focused on the Seagulls, but the fact he’s changed agents suggests he is open to a move this month.
