Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is preparing for a big move away by changing his agent, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Taking to his Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside, the reporter claims the 21-year-old is preparing to leave the Seagulls, amid interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

“I think Moises Caicedo would be open to joining any top club, this is why he’s going to have new agents soon,” Romano said.

“I don’t know his preference as of today, I’m not aware of any conversation with friends about Liverpool, but for sure he’s hoping for a big move.”

As per journalist Pete O’Rourke for GiveMeSport, the Ecuador international would be keen on a move to Anfield in January.

According to reports from his native country, the Reds had a £62m bid rejected for the midfielder.

Caicedo preparing to leave

Liverpool have been interested in Caicedo for quite a while now, and a big obstacle stopping them making an approach was due to his various agents complicating the situation.

However, it now appears somebody has advised the youngster to switch representation, in order to increase his chances of a big move away from Brighton.

The Ecuadorian has since acted swiftly, and he is currently in the process of securing a new entourage.

This is encouraging for the Reds, as the player is using his own initiative to get his desired move.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side and Chelsea being the most dominant clubs in the race to his signature, it appears Caicedo is hoping to join one of these two teams.

Liverpool are desperate to add a new midfielder to their ranks. Although Jude Bellingham is touted for the summer, the club need an imminent arrival.

With The Mirror now suggesting the Seagulls would accept an initial £60m for the 21-year-old, the Merseyside outfit should jump at this opportunity.

They need to do all they can to bring him to Anfield.
