Mohamed Salah says Liverpool’s squad is different to other teams he’s played for

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has raved about Jurgen Klopp’s squad, calling them an ‘unbelievable group’.

After being voted the Reds’ Player of the Month for December, the 30-year-old spoke about his teammates in an interview with the club’s official site.

“As I said before, we have a really good group,” Salah claimed.

“I’ve been in three or four teams – I know what’s different between here and the other teams. We have an unbelievable group.

“We always try to help the young players, and the experienced ones always try to stay calm in the situation and just advise the young [players] to stay calm.

“It’s hard, it’s a tough situation, but I think we’re going to go through that and make it better.”

Salah lavishes the Liverpool squad

That is something Klopp has certainly brought to the club since arriving on Merseyside.

The German manager has united each and every person behind the scenes at Kirkby, and that has always been evident on the pitch.

Morale always seems positive during training, and that is transferred to Anfield during and after the final whistle is blown – no matter the score-line.

The win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup the other night could prove monumental in getting Liverpool back on track this term.

The Reds looked hungry for the win, with a keen desire to play their opponents off the pitch.

That eagerness and intensity has been lacking in recent months, so hopefully the triumphant mindset can be maintained when they Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

This certainly won’t be an easy game, but with Salah up top, Liverpool are always in with a shout.
