Manchester City are now monitoring Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, after claims Jurgen Klopp has been eyeing him for Liverpool.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim the Sky Blues are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, who is excelling in Serie A this term.
Pep Guardiola’s side create strong competition for the Reds, as CalcioMercato have credited an interest to the Merseyside outfit in recent weeks.
Despite this, 90min report that Napoli have made him unavailable for transfer.
As a result, it is expected that it would take in excess of £100m for the Italian club to even consider letting go of the youngster.
Man City now monitoring Liverpool target Kvaratskhelia
After his performances for Napoli this season, it’s no surprise to see the two Premier League heavyweights keeping an eye on Kvaratskhelia.
In the Serie A this term, the winger has bagged seven goals and nine assists in 15 matches.
Perhaps even more impressively, he has also managed to produce two goals and three assists in five Champions League appearances.
Having only arrived at Napoli last summer in a deal worth £9m, the 21-year-old has taken European football by storm.
The Georgia international has not been phased by the step-up in competition, and his talents are being noticed by some of the biggest clubs in world football.
Hailed by the Italian embassy in his native country for his ‘extraordinary’ performances in Serie A this season, Liverpool now face major competition in the race to land Kvaratskhelia.
