Liverpool target Sofyan Amrabat has chosen his next club, according to reports. The Reds have been consistently linked with the player.
This comes from Foot Mercato in France. They claim that Sofyan Amrabat has made up his mind on his next club.
He’s certainly got some great teams to pick from. The report mentions both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur as interested but it appears neither will get their wish.
Amrabat wishes to join Atletico Madrid. The report claims this isn’t a financial move as the English sides will offer more. The Moroccan would simply prefer a move to Spain and sees a good fit with Atletico.

It appears the Madrid side won’t be able to make a move happen this month, however. Or at least, they’ll struggle to do so with their limited budget. That may suit a Fiorentina side that doesn’t really want to lose Amrabat mid-season.
The summer may be the time, then. Perhaps that gives Liverpool a bit of hope.
Sofyan Amrabat and Liverpool
Corriere dello Sport were another outlet reporting Liverpool’s interest, putting his value at around £44m. Foot Mercato were another pushing the story in December, claiming that Jurgen Klopp was such a fan that he’d already talked with Amrabat.
But it now seems very unlikely – a real shame as we think Amrabat would be an ideal addition at Anfield.
As we say, though, there might be hope. If Atletico can’t move this month, Liverpool may get an opportunity to as Amrabat could prefer a move now rather than wait for the hype to die down a little.

Time can also change a lot – perhaps he’s thinking differently by the summer and Liverpool can move again. This isn’t one to completely rule out, then.
What it is, though, is very unlikely if the report is accurate. Atletico hold the cards here.
