Jordan Henderson sends word-less message to Tyler Morton, after news emerges out of Liverpool

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has sent Tyler Morton a word-less message on Instagram, following the news that the 20-year-old has signed a new long-term deal at Anfield.

Although he is currently spending the campaign away on loan with Blackburn Rovers, today it was announced that the midfield gem had committed his future to the Merseyside club.

Taking to a post on Instagram, the youngster announced the news, sharing how happy and proud he is to pledge his career to the Reds.

In the comments, numerous senior players and youth stars sent their congratulations.

This even included the Liverpool skipper, who sent two clapping emojis – to signal a well-earned pat on the back.

Henderson sends Morton a message

Morton is currently excelling on loan in the Championship. Thus far this season, the youngster has made 25 appearances in the second division, having maintained his spot in Rovers’ starting XI.

Predominantly playing as a defensive midfielder, he has also been utilised in the middle of the park. Interestingly, he has also covered at both centre-back and attacking midfield when Jon Dahl Tomasson has needed him to.

Having impressed at the Kirkby academy, Morton needed to go out on loan in order to play week-in, week-out, specifically somewhere where he will experience the rigours of first-team football.

With a need to improve his physicality, the 20-year-old has been showing promising signs.

If he continues to impress at Ewood Park this term, there could be the possibility of a Premier League loan next season.

Perhaps, we may even see him line-out for the senior side.
