Pundit Micky Gray was left in disbelief by the mistake made by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.
Speaking on commentary for TalkSPORT, the Sunderland cult hero slammed the Brazilian for his lack of concentration.
“You just can’t do that! It’s a crazy mistake from the goalkeeper,” Gray said.
“There’s no pressure on him whatsoever, he tries to play the ball out to his right-hand side, he gives the ball away in the 18-yard area, you just can’t do that.

“At a top club like Liverpool, chasing down trophies every single season, and we’ve said this before about Alisson in the past.
“That’s just a farcical mistake. Absolutely ridiculous.
“It’s ridiculous, it really is. You cannot give away goals like that – certainly at this level.
“When you’ve got the quality what Wolves have got, they don’t score a lot of goals.
“But when Guedes has got one put on a plate, he’s not going to miss.”
Alisson makes big mistake
Admittedly, it was a really poor piece of play from the Reds no. 1.
However, it would be extremely unfair to launch heavy criticism at him, as Alisson has been Liverpool’s best player thus far this season.
Without the 30-year-old, who Michael Edwards signed for £65m back in 2018, Jurgen Klopp’s side would be nowhere near sixth in the Premier League table.

The Merseyside outfit have conceded 22 goals this term, but this figure would be significantly more if it wasn’t for Alisson and his heroics.
Therefore, having made his first obvious mistake of the campaign, it is an excusable offence.
The whole team continue to make mistakes week-in, week-out, so one for the goalkeeper who has kept our season going, is fair to take.
