‘Insider telling me’: German reporter shares what he’s been told about Bellingham, could impact Liverpool

Liverpool would be able to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham for a significantly lower fee in the summer compared to this month.

That’s according to journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft, who often reports on German football and BVB in particular.

He claims Dortmund are showing no signs of a willingness to let the 19-year-old to leave during the current window.

It is said that even a £132m departure in January would leave the side week.

Instead, the Bundesliga outfit will sell the England international in the summer, and they will be willing to accept just £106m to sanction his move.

Bellingham would be cheaper in the summer

As previously reported, it was never seen as a realistic possibility to bring Bellingham in over the winter.

Instead, the Reds have been working hard on a deal for the summer, in which could prove to be a make-or-break transfer for the club.

However, as much as the 19-year-old will be essential to Jurgen Klopp’s midfield, there is also a huge need to add reinforcements now.

Having signed just one midfielder (that being Thiago Alcantara) in four-and-a-half-years, Liverpool desperately need to add fresh legs to the middle of the park.

From what we’ve seen recently, at least two central players are needed in January.

However, claims continue to suggest the Reds are done in the transfer market this month, leaving Klopp in a dangerous situation.
