Liverpool are monitoring Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone ahead of a possible move in the summer.
That’s according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano. He claims that a whole host of clubs from across Europe are interested in the 21-year-old.
Although Jude Bellingham remains the number one priority for the Reds, the Merseyside outfit are ‘well informed’ on the Frenchman’s situation.
It is believed a move away from Gladbach during the summer window is the most likely scenario.
Liverpool monitoring Kone
As per a previous report from Sport Bild, the Bundesliga club have placed a £39m asking price on Kone, potentially making his exit a transfer record for the side.
Impressively for a 21-year-old, the midfielder has already established himself as a mainstay in Gladbach’s starting XI.
Thus far this term, the U21 France international has made 14 appearances in the German top-flight, during which he has led the side for tackles (2.1) and dribbles (1.6) averaged per game.

With a desperate need for additions in the middle of the park, the youngster would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool to make.
Kone still has over a decade left to perform at the top level, and clubs are demanding extortionate fees for similarly aged counterparts.
Therefore, whilst the Frenchman isn’t the only midfielder the Reds should look to buy, Jurgen Klopp and co should seriously consider signing Kone.
