Jude Bellingham will reject interest from Liverpool in favour of Real Madrid, according to reports. It would be a serious blow for the Reds.
This comes from Goal. They claim that Jude Bellingham has decided against joining Liverpool. Instead, he wants to sign for Real Madrid next summer.
This is despite intense efforts from the Reds. They did all they could to get him to move to Anfield in 2023, including using Jordan Henderson’s influence at the World Cup.

But Real’s pull proves to be too much. They now lead the race as Bellingham has already told his entourage of his desire to move to Madrid.
It seems Liverpool may be left wanting.
Jude Bellingham to reject Liverpool
It’s worth mentioning that Goal are the only outlet saying this. Reports elsewhere have long claimed that Liverpool lead this race and that the player wishes to join them.
But it’s also possible that things have changed. The pull from Real Madrid is intense for any player and Bellingham may view them as a guarantee of success.
We feel Liverpool are that, too, but admittedly it’s not quite the same as Real. This would be a massive, massive blow to the Reds’ plans and they’d need to quickly change them.
Very quickly, in fact, as we have Enzo Fernández down as the best-possible replacement target. Chelsea are supposedly forcing that transfer race to happen in January, however.

That would mean giving up on Bellingham entirely and spending the money now to sign Enzo. It only makes sense if the teenager’s mind if made up but if it is, we don’t really see any other choice.
We’ll continue hoping that Goal have this one wrong, then. Bellingham remains the Reds’ best signing they could possible make and there is admittedly a long time to go.
