Chelsea have an offer for Enzo Fernández ready, according to reports. They do so before Liverpool are ready to act.

This comes from the Standard. They claim that Chelsea have a £105m bid ready for Enzo Fernández, meeting the player’s release clause.

The Blues are apparently looking to sign Enzo before their chief rivals truly act. Both Liverpool and Manchester United want the player but feel that a summer transfer is more likely.

Chelsea, though, believe they can take advantage of their waiting. By moving now with such a massive bid, Liverpool and United are highly unlikely to match it. The World Cup’s Best Young Player winner could be on his way to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea ready Enzo Fernández offer

There are a few things to consider here before Liverpool fans get worried. The first is right in the article – there is no agreement with Enzo himself. Even if Chelsea agree the fee, there’s no guarantee they can convince the Argentine to move there.

And with all due respect to Chelsea, we can’t imagine they’re Enzo’s pick over Liverpool, United or Real Madrid – another team supposedly interested.

Which brings us to the other reason to take this news slowly. Reports in Spain this week suggested that Liverpool were looking to buy Enzo in January in order to beat a waiting Real Marid. In other words, they’re supposedly doing exactly what Chelsea are supposedly doing.

There’s a lot of talk around Enzo right now and it’s unclear what’s really happening. All that anyone really knows is that demand is as high as the price tag for a January transfer.

We’d be surprised if Liverpool moved after Cody Gakpo. Especially as the Reds’ chief target is Jude Bellingham and we can’t imagine the money is there for both Enzo and the Englishman.

So hopes shouldn’t be too high anyway – but take everything with a grain of salt right now.
