Liverpool are planning to go ‘all out’ in an attempt at convincing Jude Bellingham to join them over Manchester City.
That’s according to journalist Dean Jones. Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones claimed that the Reds still believe that they have a brilliant chance of signing the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
“Man City might consider themselves with the greatest chance of signing him [Bellingham] right now in their eyes, but Liverpool believe that they should have a great chance, too,” said the journalist. “They [think they] just have to go all out and put in front of him why they think he should join Liverpool.”
The general consensus appears to be that Liverpool’s pitch is so far proving an attractive one to Bellingham. But at the end of the day, this move will still come down to figures. If the Reds can’t stump up Dortmund’s asking price, then they won’t sign the 19-year-old. Simple as that.

Liverpool going all out, but they’re ‘all in’ on Bellingham
From a sporting point of view, the merits of Bellingham joining Liverpool are pretty clear.
The club is right at the top of the European game, with a world-class manager in it for the long-haul. But away from that, there are personal reasons that Liverpool can certainly play on in this race.
Join the club, and Bellingham could follow in the footsteps of his idol Steven Gerrard at Anfield.
Liverpool should also pitch the idea that the youngster could one day succeed Jordan Henderson as captain. Given the lack of an obvious successor to Hendo in the current squad, it feels like a natural fit.

With that also comes the pull of having a team built around him in the long term. Liverpool’s need for a focal point for their new-look midfield is well documented. Bellingham can be that player. As Daniel Sturridge recently proclaimed on Instagram, he’s ‘sensational.’
Bellingham may get more money at other clubs and potentially more glory, too. But can he really say that any other project would be able to offer what Liverpool currently can?
Although we’re biased, we’d say no. And that’s why the Reds are well in this race.
No decision is likely to be made before the end of the current season. Plenty of leg-work has already been done by Liverpool, though. It’s time to play those last cards and see where Bellingham comes up. All out is the only way when the player is this good.
