Peter Crouch believes Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham could join Liverpool after the World Cup.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, the former Reds striker said a move to Anfield ‘makes sense’ for the 19-year-old.
Statman Dave asked the Merseyside favourite his thoughts on the relationship the youngster seems to have formed with Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“Crouchy, we’ve seen pictures of Jude with Trent out and around in Doha,” he said.
“Henderson looks like a bit of a leader or someone for him to look up to on the pitch.
“Surely that move to Liverpool makes sense?”
Crouch agreed, responding: “Oh, it makes sense Dave, yeah. It does make sense.”
“Liverpool is a great option.
“I mean it ticks a lot of the boxes, a lot of the boxes.”
Crouch can see Bellingham joining Liverpool
Seeing Bellingham’s friendship with the Reds duo flourish is somewhat exciting for Liverpool supporters.
However, it is important that the fanbase doesn’t get carried away.
Whilst on international duty, each and every player has friends from other clubs. This has really beneficial for Gareth Southgate, as that camaraderie has been crucial in England’s understanding and teamwork on the pitch.
As a result, there doesn’t have to be an agenda behind the relationship. They are genuinely just friends, who are helping a young member of the squad out.
Saying this, it would be good if Henderson and Alexander-Arnold were putting in a good word about Jurgen Klopp and everyone else involved at Anfield.
There seems to be a real possibility that Liverpool will emerge as one of the favourites to land the midfield maestro, who has been hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Three Lions teammate Bukayo Saka.
Therefore, getting too far ahead of ourselves will only end in disappointment.
