PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has openly talked about Jude Bellingham. Liverpool reportedly want the player.
Jude Bellingham has been one of the most talked about players at this World Cup. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder shines every time he plays for England and at just 19, already looks like a world-class talent.
That naturally draws interest as the expectation is for Dortmund to sell in 2023. Major clubs will line up to sign the player – and we might just see one more in the queue.
Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi talked about Bellingham on Tuesday with Sky News. He admits that everyone wants the player – and he won’t hide it.
“England (are) lucky to have him, to be honest,” said Al-Khelaifi. “He’s one of the best players in the tournament.
“Amazing – his first World Cup. He’s calm and relaxed, confident – amazing.
“Everybody wants him, I’m not going to hide it. He’s at his club, and [we must] respect [that], so if we want to talk to him we’ll talk to the club first.”

This comes after recent reports that PSG had changed their mind on Bellingham. His World Cup performances have convinced them that he’s worth signing – or at least tracking ahead of a move, per Le10Sport.
And that’s terrible news for Liverpool, of course. The Daily Mail are the latest to report on the Reds’ determination to sign Bellingham, and they face a fight as it is.
Real Madrid and Manchester City also want Bellingham – two of the three most difficult clubs to compete with in the transfer market. We’d have PSG down as the other.
The Parisians certainly wouldn’t struggle to meet Bellingham’s reported £130m price, as the Athletic puts it at. They’ve done it twice before, in fact.
Thus Liverpool must do all they can to show Bellingham why they’re the club for him. Because if PSG now want him, this is going to be the toughest transfer battle the Reds have ever fought.
One that would be a dream to win.
