Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg has shared a fresh update on the transfer speculation surrounding Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.
Taking to Twitter, the German journalist revealed that Manchester United are now out of the race to sign the 19-year-old.
He then claimed the Merseyside outfit remain firmly in contention, with manager Jurgen Klopp really pushing for the move.
Borussia Dortmund are still willing to sell, with a price-tag in the region of £86m – £130m.
Man United out of the race for Bellingham
With the Red Devils out of the battle, there is one less major club competing to secure the teenager’s signature.
Alongside Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are touted with continued interest.
The Merseyside club are certainly outnumbered in terms of transfer budget, but it is said that this isn’t the be-all and end-all for Dortmund.
This is evident as Man United would otherwise remain as a top contender – having previously spent incredible money on various players.

Prioritised as Anfield’s marquee signing, FSG have the funds to cough up the £130m needed to land the midfielder.
Although United were never deemed one of the favourites, it is positive to hear Liverpool still mentioned as a frontrunner, despite the narrowing list of suitors.
