Report: Paris Saint-Germain's stance on £130m Liverpool transfer target

Paris Saint-Germain hold an opinion on Jude Bellingham, according to reports. The England midfielder is a major Liverpool target.

This comes from Le10Sport. They claim that Paris Saint-Germain now have eyes on Jude Bellingham after some impressive World Cup performances.

As per the report, Bellingham’s solid start to the season with Borussia Dortmund caught the eye. He’s taken that form to Qatar and seemingly put himself in PSG’s sights.

PSG did sign midfielders in the summer as they tried to rebuild their squad. It appears they’re not willing to settle, however, and view Bellingham as an ideal addition.

The outlet mentions one other rival for Bellingham – Liverpool. The Reds, once again, are seen to be at the front of this race.

The Athletic report that Dortmund’s price for Bellingham is already at £130m. Could interest from PSG actually push that higher? It both seems inevitable and ridiculous. It’s hard to imagine teams paying £150m for the 19-year-old but here we are.

A solid World Cup was always going to draw further interest in Bellingham. The likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City have long been linked. Liverpool, who appear to have tracked Bellingham for years, face one hell of a fight if they’re to win this one.

That’s not to say it’s impossible. At the end of the day, money might not influence this one. There are claims that Dortmund won’t sell to a state-owned club, for instance, which would instantly rule out City and PSG.

Liverpool also don’t believe Bellingham’s wage demands will be a problem. That would again suggest that interest from the money-clubs won’t necessarily hurt the Reds here.

But at the end of the day, no one really knows what’s going to happen. Competition for Bellingham is enormous and things could change in an instant. All Liverpool can truly do is make their best-possible offer and hope it’s enough come the summer.
