Liverpool winger Luis Diaz is hoping to play a part in the upcoming Dubai Super Cup, after receiving the green light to return to full training.
That’s according to The Athletic, who report that the break in the Premier League season has allowed the 25-year-old to regain enough fitness to resume team training.
The Merseyside club will reconvene on Monday as they fly out to Dubai ahead of a warm-weather training camp.
During this, the Colombia international is set to take part for the first time since suffering a knee injury against Arsenal in October.

Diaz has been working hard behind the scenes, completing his rehab at Kirkby. As a result, the Reds hope the attacker will be able to train enough out in Dubai to manage minutes on the pitch in their upcoming friendlies.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are set to play two matches in the Dubai Super Cup: against Lyon on December 11 and AC Milan on December 16.
Although it’s unlikely he will feature from the start, the forward is expected to cameo off the bench in each fixture.
Diaz returns to fitness
This will come as a major boost to Liverpool, especially given the news that Diogo Jota isn’t set to make a return until February.
Since arriving at Anfield in January, Diaz has been absolutely crucial to Klopp’s side. In 38 matches for the Reds, the Colombian has amassed ten goals and eight assists, including three goals and two assists in eight Premier League appearances this season.
The attacker is never short of work ethic and intensity, and this has been especially evident when his teammates look tired and out of the game, whilst the 25-year-old is seen bombing around the pitch.

His dazzling footwork and ability to cut in on his right foot is very difficult for defenders to counteract, meaning his return will come as a huge boost for the Merseyside outfit – having missed his presence in recent fixtures.
Hailed as ‘exceptional’ by the Liverpool boss, Diaz is expected to make all the difference when he gets back firing to his best in a Reds shirt after Christmas. Hopefully he can make an instant impact,
